2019 SAFETY SURVEY

The Neighbourhood Watch NT Safety Survey, introduced in 2018, was created to assist us to better understand the safety environment and levels of crime within the NT. The survey was conducted with the aim of improving our understanding of local issues and evaluating public perception of crime.

The 2019 Safety Survey had 1034 respondents from every major town in the NT including Darwin, Palmerston, Alice Springs, Tennant Creek and surrounds. Of the total respondents, only 17% were Neighbourhood Watch NT members.

NHWNT will utilize the following survey data to review our programs and services to ensure we continue to meet the needs and expectations of the community.
